Walkley Forum would like to invite you all to the 10th Annual Walkley Festival, this year celebrating the ‘Uniqueness of Walkley’. They have a bigger line up of events than ever to appeal to all ages and interests. They commence again this year with the launch on Walkley Green and a peal of bells at St Mary’s Church followed by many other exciting events. They hope that there is something for everyone included in the programme and that you will enjoy Walkley Festival’s many attractions.

We’ve been busy over the last year, building up this website with all the many, many shops in Crookes.

We are just sorting a few bits and pieces:

• Tidying up the appearance.
• Adding pictures for every shop.
• Putting in a Classified ads section.
• Aiming for number one in Google under “Crookes” – number 5 so far!

Well, its a new year, and a new rise in VAT. All applicable goods are now increasing to 20%, from 17.5%, so life is about to get a little bit more expensive.

However, one way you can save money is by supporting your local high street. Not only do you save on petrol, but there are some real bargains to be had:
